The future of tele-conferencing

Another cartoon that's been floating around in the old noggin for a while.

I originally wanted there to be a hand coming out of the screen and delivering a stinging slap.  Wasn't happy with drawing that though, so came up with the above instead.  Not enough pain on the guy's face methinks, and not enough of a feeling of r-e-e-a-a-l-l-y-y-y squeezing coming from the hands.

Who has not wanted to do this to a colleague?

  1. I love it! It actually looks like you've caught the action right as it starts - there hasn't been time for real pain or squeezing action.

  2. LOL! Brilliant. I feel EXACTLY the same way about online instruction, which I am having to do more of these days: how to make a virtual foot kick a distant student's backside :-)

  3. yep - who ever invents a gadget that will sit on someone's desk and give them a good slap when they're annoying you will probably win a nobel prize or something

Maybe if you tried either his eyes popping out of his head, or just some speed marks around the eyes that would make the point - but i think it works well as is

  4. Bug - thanks, hope it gave you a chuckle.

CL - hehe, now THAT would be a learning tool!

DFTP-I thought about eye-popping, but only after I had inked it :-(

  5. Hey Jimmy, good to see you back! All this electronic nonsense will never replace the truly hands-on experience of strangling the living crap out of somebody who richly deserves it, say I!

Without your comments, I am but a wave without a shore...
